About TS-CC: This section contains the hows and whys about TopSecret-CarClub. Q: When did TS-CC Start? A: TS-CC was launched on the 1st April 2008 after the team that had managed and maintained TSC decided to get away from the cruise scene and take it to the next stage of becoming a Car Club. It has evolved and adapted to what it is today. Q: Who runs and monitors TS-CC? A: To see who does what for TS-CC, go to the link in the top right hand side of the forums and left click “My Assistant”. Then click “The Moderating Team” this will tell you who does what and a chance to contact them. Getting Started: So have you registered with TSC and want to personalise your profile. Q: How do I access my profile? A: You have two ways to access it, but obviously, you must be logged in. Either click the “My Controls” option at the top right hand side of the forums, you may edit sections of your profile from within here or you can click your username on the top left hand side. This will take you so you can see what your profile looks like. Q: How do I personalise my account? A: Once you have accessed your profile, click on “Edit Profile Information” on the left hand side. You can fill as many fields as you wish regarding your personal details. This will let other members know a bit about you if they look at your profile. Q: How do I add an Avatar? A: This is the picture that appears on the left hand side of every post you make. There are certain criterias that need to be adhered to for your avatar to work. Nothing offensive please and file size must be no larger than 50kb and must be no larger in dimension than 150x150. Most people do a search on google for images they want. In your profile, select “Edit Avatar Settings”. There will be two fields, one which allows an image to be uploaded from your PC or one that will look to an online URL. Assuming you want to use a URL, copy the URL of the image and paste it into the field that says “Enter a URL to an online avatar image”. Click "Update avatar" and that’s it. Q: How do I add a Signature to my posts? A: A signature is similar to an avatar but appears at the bottom part of each of your posts. Most people make these up using Photoshop or by asking other TS-CC members to make one for them. Assuming you have the picture and its posted on photo bucket or similar picture hosting site, go to “My Controls” and “Edit Signature”. Using the box, paste the URL of the picture you want as your signature but make sure you use the [IMG] code to make it work correctly. The Forums: Everything you need to know about the way our forums work. Q: How Do I write a post? A: If you are viewing a topic you wish to reply to, at the bottom of the page are two choices. “Fast Reply” or “Add Reply”. Fast reply launches a small box underneath and is for brief messages without a need for emoticons etc. "Add reply" will take you to a new page allowing you to type a response as well as add emoticons, images and URL’s. Please read the rules on posting here. Q: How do I start a Topic? A: Before starting a topic, use the search facility on the top right hand corner of the forums to see if your question or problem has been asked before. The forums are separated in to different areas to make similar topics appear in one location, General Chat, Members Cars, For Sale and so on. Pick a forum heading that suits as closely as possible the purpose of your post and left click it. Once you can see other topics in this room, on the top and bottom right hand side of the page will be a button called “Add Topic”. Click this. Make sure you give your topic a heading then type whatever it is you want to ask. Once finished, click submit (bottom of page) and you have added a topic to TS-CC. Well done! The same Applies for a Poll. This allows you to gain a consensus vote from TS-CC members regarding a variety of issues. Q: How do I post a picture or a URL on the forums? A: First, you have to upload your pictures onto a picture website. Many members use photobucket. It’s really easy to use and is ideal for use with TS-CC. Once uploaded from your PC to photobucket (or similar site), in your topic or post (not fast reply) there is an option at the top called Insert Image (between the 2 buttons with + signs), click this. A small box will open, copy the IMG link from the picture host website and paste into this field. Then click ok. Job Done! Its similar for URL’s except just copy the entire URL from the URL field of the page you want to post and paste it into the small box that appears from clicking "Insert Link" (next to the "insert image" button), click ok and give it a name then ok again and you’re done. Q: I have a complaint about a post or topic, what should I do? A: Report your complaint to a TS-CC Admin, Staff or Moderator via PM. Q: How do I send a PM? A: PM’s are private messages you can send to TS-CC members rather than posting in the main forums. The recipient will receive an E-mail informing them they have a new PM. You can send one through “My Controls”. The very top option on your menu bar on the left is “compose new message” type in the name of the recipient, PM heading then type in the largest field whatever you want to say or you can click the name of the member you wish to send to and it will drop a menu down with the option to send a PM.
